Home: Meet Me
As your Ossining Town Supervisor,

I believe our priorities should be easing the tax burden on our residential taxpayers, protecting our watershed, ecosystem and remaining green spaces, making sure that our parks and riverfront are well maintained and accessible to all, and improving our communication and collaboration with all of our residents and business owners.

I have been focusing on replacing our aging infrastructure and addressing the increasing needs of our storm water systems. I have been working diligently to find and use to good advantage the many grant funding opportunities to support this important work.

Other priorities include incorporating fuel efficient and energy producing technologies to our buildings and fleet to be more sustainable as well as saving the taxpayers money.

Home: The Issues

Tax Relief

  • Work to keep taxes down while maintaining quality of life by exploring alternate funding for our community.

  • Work with Briarcliff to incentivize revitalization of their vacant commercial properties to ease the burden on residential tax payers.

Community

  • Improve communication and engagement with residents, businesses, and staff allowing for greater feedback in decision making process.

  • Management begins with knowing how to speak with people. A kind and respectful dialogue is key to planning, organizing, and leading.

  • Committed to preserving our history.

Smart Planning & Development

  • Continue to craft zoning laws that reflect our new comprehensive plan's goals and objectives.

Affordable Housing

  • Work with potential developers to include quality middle and affordable housing options.

Sustainability & Greenspaces

  • Ensure all our parks are well maintained and remain accessible to all residents.

  • Prioritize environmental conservation and sustainable native biodiversity. Protect our remaining greenspaces and natural resources.

  • Continue working on energy efficiency initiatives to lower costs and our carbon footprint on a community-wide level.

CHANGE IS ON THE HORIZON!

As a lifelong resident of Ossining, my first half in the unincorporated Town of Ossining and the second half right here in the village, I have a deep understanding and appreciation of their differences, and how they can work together and yet retain their own identities.

Being your new Town Supervisor has given me the opportunity to dedicate myself full-time to the new comprehensive plan, equity, and evaluation of zoning laws that is on going. I strongly believe in increasing affordability, the preservation of our green spaces, protecting our watershed and preserving our historical structures.

I look forward to continuing our board’s work to find energy efficiencies while reducing our carbon footprint as well as working in collaboration with Sustainable Westchester on our new geothermal heat program. Another priority is finding affordable housing options for seniors and community members without overburdening our infrastructure. I also believe that we should join Briarcliff in incentivizing new commercial businesses to revitalize the vacant commercial properties to support our tax base, rather than turning them into residential areas that will add more students to the already overcrowded Ossining school system.

I think it’s important to listen to and collaborate with all members of the community to understand what works best for Ossining.

I look forward to meeting and speaking in the near future.

Thank you for your support.
